Mount Hermon

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.
It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing – life forevermore.” Psalm 133
Though short, this Psalm is meaningful, precious and powerful.
At first glance, it speaks about peace among brothers.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
These ‘brethren’ are the children of God.
Undeniably, there are conflicts between the children of the flesh, children from different fathers, children from different denominations, children of religion and finally, among the children of the world.
However, there is never conflict between the true children of God.
Do you know why?
Because they are all born of the Spirit of God and have the Same Spirit.
How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
This is only possible when there is only One Spirit.
It is impossible to have a bad character, be envious, selfish, cruel, greedy, worldly and the like.
Instead, they are all made in the image and likeness of the Almighty; they possess His DNA. They are children of the Same Father.
This is why they are considered a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light... 1 Peter 2.9
How could a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people that may proclaim the virtues of the Lord Jesus if they are hot-tempered, jealous, selfish, cruel, greedy, spiteful, gossipers, liars and worldly?
Impossible! This would not make any sense, would it?
The children of God live in perfect peace and harmony.
They are like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.
It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing – life forevermore.
Mount Hermon represents the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.
The precious Oil upon the head is the Holy Spirit upon the Head of the Church – Jesus.
Aaron represents the Lord Jesus Christ, the High Priest of the New Covenant, Hebrews 9.11-15.
The oil that runs down on the beard and the edge of his garments is the anointing of the Lord Jesus, which is poured out upon His Church: the children that He created through His Spirit.
The Dew of Hermon symbolizes the waters that irrigate the hills of Zion, or the New Israel.
From a physical point of view, there are three springs of water on Mount Hermon that form from the Jordan River. All of Israel’s water supply depends on this Mountain, which is also called Mount of Consecration.
From a spiritual point of view, the eternal life of God's children depends on this Sacred Mountain; in other words, the Church, in which the gates of hell will never prevail.
There the LORD instructs, commands, determines, imposes His blessing and gives life forevermore (eternal life).
On April 14^th, we will be celebrating the last day of the feast of the Fast of Daniel, with the anointing and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, we will be at the peak of Mount Hermon, the Mount of Transfiguration, holding out our hands and determining the blessing, forevermore, for all the people of the UCKG and all those who believe.
