A vow for your family

When a man consecrates by a vow certain persons to the Lord... Leviticus 27.2
These instructions of God to Moses deal with the laws of consecration.
In other words, if we want to consecrate a loved one to God, we should make a vow or offering for them.
This approach is an exact copy of what God did for humanity.
He made the greatest vow; He gave His Son as an offering to consecrate mankind, and set them apart for Himself.
Anyone who is saved wants to save others…
But to save someone, we have to make a vow of our own lives so that the other person can be consecrated to God.
Saving souls is making a vow of our own lives in favor of others.
This is a law of the Holy Spirit.
Many lives have been prematurely cut short because no one was there to make a vow for them.
Many parents vow to do whatever they can to guarantee the financial success of their children…
And many children vow to insure the comfort of their parents…
And yet, many parents give not one thought to where their children will spend eternity, and vice versa.
Because of this, countless families are burdened down with a curse and end up passing it down to their children.
Those who have a Holy Spirit inspired faith know this, and do their part…
And those who do not, ignore these facts.
Because of this, we call anyone with a Spirit-inspired faith to join the multitude of people that we are raising up in favor of their loved ones.
Whether it is parents in favor of their children, or children in favor of their parents, we will live this faith at a time when others participate in “celebrations of the flesh” in some parts of the world (Mardi Gras in the US and Carnival in Brazil).
The Church throughout the world will join forces from the 3rd to the 10th of February.
As we consecrate tithers, we will also consecrate your family members to God, and you who have the faith should include and offering together with your tithe.
The Lord’s instructions to Moses are written, promised and determined:
When a man consecrates by a vow certain persons to the Lord... Leviticus 27.2
God did not say: a man may or might consecrate persons to the Lord.
He said: when a man consecrates… persons to the Lord!
Who believes this promise?
Who has faith in this promise?
Let's get revenge on hell by celebrating a feast of the Spirit in our homes, and consecrating our families.
We will hold our feast of the Holy Spirit from one Sunday to the next: February 3 - 10, 2013.
Let's throw ourselves into this purpose of faith – body, soul and spirit – in favor of our loved one’s salvation.
May God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit be glorified in the lives of those who believe!

Semiramis, the Obelisk and the Christmas farce

Many Christians innocently adhere to religious practices without even realizing that they are actually repeating some of the same acts and 'rituals' of pagan cultures in the past. The celebration of Christmas and the 'cult' of its tree are examples of how many can be misled by religion.
Semiramis, the Christmas farce and it’s tree
In order to speak about CHRISTMAS, we must go back to the time of NOAH, after the flood,

when Ham, one of his sons, saw him sleeping drunk and naked. He laughed at his father and ran to tell his other two brothers, Shem and Japheth.

Instead of laughing, they walked backwards towards their father and covered his naked body. Once he learned about what had happened, NOAH cursed his son HAM, so that he and his descendants would serve his two other children. And every generation after him was cursed.

HAM married SEMIRAMIS (this is the woman on the 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 Reais – Brazilian currency, the Statue of Liberty, Lady Justice, the woman from Columbia Pictures, etc.)

and they had a son, NIMROD. He killed his father HAM and married his mother.

He was the founder of Babylon, Nineveh and other pagan cities. He tried to build the tower of BABEL, and GOD stopped him.

His uncle SHEM killed him because he was opposing GOD too much. SEMIRAMIS, his wife and mother, spread a lie and said that he had not died, but had in fact gone to heaven, since he called himself the sun-god.

SEMIRAMIS got pregnant and claimed it to be a gift from the gods, the reincarnation of Nimrod, when, in fact, it was the result of a betrayal, since her husband and son was already dead. And TAMMUZ was born on Dec. 25, the sun-god of the Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks, Persians, Romans, and today, from the SS (secret societies).

He died during a hunting trip, probably by a wild animal, and his body was found lying on a rotten tree trunk. His mother said that a pine tree sprout from the rotten trunk and every year, on the 25th of December, it was common for people to take a pine tree home and decorate it with gold and silver, as a symbol of the rebirth of Tammuz.

The priestesses fasted and wept for 40 days and 40 nights over the death of TAMMUZ at the foot of the pine tree, and once finished, they thanked each other by exchanging gifts, which were deposited at the foot of the pine tree. Every year, on the 25th of December, Christmas was celebrated (the birth of Tammuz).

When the PERSIANS dominated this region, they took all of their idols back to PERSIA, including the gods TAMMUZ, NIMROD and SEMIRAMIS, and simply changed their names. The GREEKS soon gained power and they did the same thing, by changing their names. They became ZEUS, APHRODITE AND EROS.

Then the Egyptians gained power and changed their names as well. They became OSIRIS, ISIS AND HORUS.

But during the times of JESUS CHRIST, ROME was in power and they also changed their names. They became known as VENUS AND CUPID, because the father figure was dropped. During the fourth century after Christ, to please the Christians, who were in large numbers in ROME, Emperor CONSTANTINE decided to honor Christianity, making it the official religion of ROME. To please them even more, he took the strongest names within Christianity and began to give the idols CHRISTIAN names.

SEMIRAMIS and TAMMUZ became known as BABY JESUS and VIRGIN MARY. As a result, Christmas was still being celebrated as the birth of baby JESUS, when in fact, this boy would be TAMMUZ, a pagan god.

Another form of deceit, in disguise, are the Obelisks. Made of stone in a square and elongated shape, these monuments were precisely placed in the central area of open spaces and the temples of the sun god, Ra. And although in ancient Egypt an obelisk meant 'protection' or 'defense', please know what it really represents.
Obelisk

You are looking at the most famous public representation of a sexual act in the world. This obelisk, in the middle of the satanic Eight Steps to Enlightenment, is in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican. It’s quite interesting to see a sexual representation at the Vatican, because they have a lot to say about sexuality, proof that the Roman Catholicism is a very deep form of satanism. Another proof is the 'inverted cross', used by the pope.
We conclude that the Obelisk is a monument made to worship gods, symbolizing Lucifer’s flag and sexual intercourse.

Anxiety does not get rid of tomorrow’s sadness but it does take away your strength for today, strength which you need to create a solution to stop it. Anxiety makes you live the problem a hundred times before it actually happens. It makes you fear something that only exists within your imagination.
Due to anxiety some become paralyzed and others become precipitated. They don’t take an attitude or they hurry and provoke a disaster.
Thankfully there is an antidote to it.
The opposite of anxiety is being calm, tranquility with a good dose of trust and assurance of positive results. It is summed up by one word: faith.
Faith in what or who?
In someone who can guarantee a positive result. Jesus once taught about anxiety and said in order to overcome it you have to stop and think. Look at a field or forest and ask yourself: Who nourishes the animals and birds which live there? Who made those beautiful plants, flowers, and butterflies to the tiniest of detail? Who is their gardener, or the one who throws food to them?
What we can conclude is that Someone greater than a human, with infinitely more power, takes care of all of this.
And the good news is that this Someone is our Father. And what father doesn’t know what His son needs? What mother hasn’t sacrificed something of hers for her child? Could it be that this Father that takes care of the plants and animals so well will not take care of his children?
This is the basis of faith which nulls and overcomes anxiety of the heart.
If you are anxious in regards to your love life, finances, or profession; if something happens it makes you scared; insecurity and fear that the worst can happen to you…
Stop.
Think. Take your mind to God. Talk to him about your fears. Tell him about your fears. Tell him what worries you. And then be quiet. Hear in your most intimate a calm confirmation that He will take care of you.
Then breathe deeply and rest.
He doesn’t usually fail.

The last enemy

We are never short on enemies: misery, loneliness, sickness, unemployment, unhappy love life, addictions, debt, family problems, etc. They are numerous, but they can all be overcome.
However, out of all of these enemies, the greatest is death. Many are aware of this, but others do not know that death is an enemy.
Death comes for the healthy and the sick, the young and the old, the rich and the poor. It can come at any time and in any place, whether it’s when you’re outside, at home, at work, in the hospital, on a plane, in church... It comes without warning. The location makes no difference to death.
There is a story where death tells a man that, within a week, he would come back to take his life. Desperate about not wanting to die, the man tries to deceive death. He goes to a costume party dressed up as a clown. When death arrives at the party, he searches for the man but does not find him. So death says: "Since I have not found the man I am looking for, I am going to take this clown instead."
The problem is that people have been more concerned about overcoming other enemies, and have ignored the greatest problem of all, which is death.
When the time comes for them to face death, their priority to overcome their other enemies causes them to become overcome by it.
The Scripture says: "The last enemy that will be destroyed is death," 1 Corinthians 15.26.
This means that after death there is nothing else to overcome. Death must be overcome now, and a daily sacrifice is needed to keep it defeated.
The phrase: "Once saved, always saved" is a lie of the devil.
This is why the Lord Jesus said, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me," Luke 9.23.
But if death came right now, at this very moment, who would win? You or death?
For those who are overcome by death, there is still the suffering they will encounter during the second death, which is the lake of fire: "He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches: He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death," Revelation 2.11.

The Word

It is impossible for humans to communicate effectively without the use of verbs or words. There can be some sort of communication through gestures, writing, signing, or even a look. However, a verb or a word will always be used to communicate. Directly or indirectly.
Jesus was the Verb, the materialized Word among us.
He was, is and will continue to be the only means of communication with the Almighty.
As The Way, The Truth, The Life, The Door, The Bread of Life, The Water of Life, The First, The Last, The Mediator, Intercessor and Advocate, there is no way to get to God-the-Father without Him.
For this reason, He alone is the Savior.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, John 1.1.
God-the-Father sent God-the-Son to this world as The Word. And He left the following message: it is impossible to communicate with Him if not through Jesus.
It is impossible to know him without the Son.
This has nothing to do with religion, philosophy or an idea.
Those who want to save their soul from hell must surrender to the Word of God: Jesus.
God-the-Father did not spare His Son in order to reveal Himself to the world.
Would He spare someone who rejects Him?
God is spirit, but in order to reveal Himself to mankind, He had to submit to the humiliation of materializing Himself.
Through His Son, He became flesh.
Because of this, The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth, John 1.14.

The greatest treasure of all

When we are young, we have the impression that we are eternal. However, whether we are old, young or even children, our days are counted on earth. No matter how healthy we are, none of us will get out of this world alive. Life is a journey towards death — this is the reality nobody wants to face.
Especially nowadays, with so much violence, so many diseases, and accidents; young people dying outside nightclubs, driving drunk, breaking up fights, or even being hit by a stray bullet; teens using weapons that they’ve seen in video games to kill dozens of children in primary schools; young people being affected by stroke, heart attacks and other things that used to be associated with old age, and that are more common now than ever; terrible eating habits and a destructive lifestyle: very little exercise, too much stress, divorce, indiscipline, etc.
Some have the opportunity to hear about Jesus when they are old and living in nursing homes. There, they open the hearts, for their circumstances have taught them humility. They’ve seen eighty, ninety years pass in a blink. No matter how long we live, it always passes too quickly. They see death more often than you and me, as they never know whether the patient next door will wake up the following morning. And when will it be your turn? What is the difference between them and us? If you think about it, there’s no difference.
Death can come at any time. Contrary to what many people think, not always is there enough time to repent on their deathbed, because not always is there a deathbed. You can die in a second, anywhere. Unfortunately, not everyone is aware of this, and so they live life as if it would never end.
People who waste their time with nitpicking and nonsense, holding grudges, badmouthing others, worrying about what others will think or the newspapers will say about the church, or simply contemplating their own navel, do not realize that they are shifting their focus from what really matters. Do you know where your soul is going?
Are you sure of that? If a person makes no effort to walk with God during the few years he or she spends on this earth, how can they expect God to force them to spend eternity with Him after they die?
Jesus compared the Kingdom of God to a treasure hidden in the field. He says, Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field” Matthew 13.44
He was an intelligent man. He found what really mattered and did not waste his time. He protected the treasure, hiding it from anyone who could steal it from him, and put all his efforts into buying that field. He was aware of the value of what he had found and immediately sacrificed all that he had, his life and his plans, with great joy, for he knew that that treasure was bigger than anything.
The treasure was hidden in a field, like salvation, which the world cannot see. Many people have gone through this field without ever having seen the treasure you have just found. Do not waste your time. Do not leave it for later. Surrender your life and seek for salvation with all your might. Perhaps you’ve been in church for many years, but have not been born of God. Perhaps you’ve left the church, or perhaps you have never believed that it is possible to have this new life. What do you have to lose? There really is a treasure hidden in the field, the key that ensures inner peace, joy and stability here on earth and for eternity. It’s now or never. You may not get another chance.

The terror of threats

Only with spiritual eyes can we see what God wants to do in the lives of those who obey Him. We can clearly see that most situations we experience in the present have already been experienced in the past. The evil spirits that used the enemies of the kingdom of Israel are the same ones that use the enemies of the Kingdom of God today.
Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, despite his loyalty to the Lord God, was taken aback when his ministers brought the news that fierce enemies had united to invade their nation. And not only that, but they were already on their way, near Jerusalem.
His immediate reaction was fear, in the sense of terror.
This news terrorized all the people of Judah. If the king was terrified, imagine the people.
Their terror was not like normal fear; it was rather a feeling of desperation. Only those who have lived or are living under death threats can understand the situation. Jehoshaphat and his people knew very well what their enemies could do; armed to the teeth, they would invade their land and destroy everything.
The news took him by surprise. He was not prepared for war nor did he have enough time to prepare for it.
How many times have we been overwhelmed by the same kind of fear? This happened, for example, to a householder in Rio de Janeiro. Unable to pay his debts and resolve his economic problems, and driven by fear of humiliation before friends, acquaintances and relatives, he killed his two young daughters, his wife and then killed himself.
The spirit of terror blinds its victims to the point of preventing them from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. But beware that not always do the facts match up with what you hear or what people say. How often do people make hasty decisions without knowing that the real situation is not exactly as they were thinking?
Satan knows this and he uses it to sow terror. People who are ignorant of the Word of God, or who do not practice it, have become desperate and emotionally unbalanced.
Given the situation and knowing the history of his forefathers, their achievements through faith in the God of Israel, Jehoshaphat did not hesitate and was willing to seek help from above. He immediately proclaimed a fast throughout the kingdom of Judah and summoned his people to cry in the Temple.
All Judah became like one man to beg help from the Lord. People from all the cities of Judah joined with Jehoshaphat in the same faith.
Following Jehoshaphat’s example, we are inviting people who are terrorized by the threat of losing their jobs; the threat of losing the husband or wife to someone else; the threat of having their kids taken away from them; the threat of dying of an incurable disease, and many other situations of extreme fear. In other words, this is a campaign of faith for those who are being threatened by Satan and the hosts of hell.
On 20th January, we will do as Jehoshaphat did. We’ll fast on behalf of those who are being threatened by bad news, gossip and other situations that do not even depict reality, but which lead people to instability and emotional disaster. We’ll appeal to faith. This Sunday, we will fast and humble ourselves before the God of Jehoshaphat and ask Him to deliver us.

The preacher and the nutritionist

A certain servant of God was so dedicated in his evangelistic work that he barely had time to take care of his health; his eating habits were terrible and he did not do any physical exercise.
Despite all his efforts in praying, fasting and evangelizing, he saw few results in his church. New people would come but not stay, and the few members were spiritually weak and full of doubts.
One day, the pastor felt really sick and had to go to the doctor, who advised him to see a nutritionist. Against his wife’s will, he followed the doctor’s advice. Little did he know that that appointment would change his life — both health and ministry —, as on the day of the consultation, the doctor asked him many questions about his eating habits, what he ate and how he ate.
The preacher told him all that he loved to eat: fried foods, high-carb foods, large portions of meat, soda and sandwiches. Then, the doctor told him that he should not eat only what he liked, but what he needed — for he was eating and not being fed —, and prescribed regular physical exercise.
After a few months, the pastor was totally different, much healthier and with a fresh appearance, and his church reflected that change, for the number of people had increased. Those who came stayed, and the members were spiritually strengthened, for the pastor began to apply the advice he had received from the nutritionist: just as he could not eat only what he liked, he could not preach only what he knew or wanted, but what the people of his church needed in order to grow spiritually, encouraging them to practice their faith, as Jesus said, "You give them something to eat" Matthew 14.16.
A preacher speaks what he likes, want and know. A man of God speaks what the people need to hear.

Moving forward despite the fear

An ancient fable tells the story of a mouse who was always in anguish because he was afraid of cats. A magician had compassion on him and converted him into a cat.
But then he started to feel afraid of dogs. So the magician changed him into a dog. Then he started to feel afraid of panthers, and the magician changed him into a panther. Then he started to feel afraid of hunters.
At this point, the magician gave up and turned him back into a mouse, telling him, "Nothing I do is going to help you, because you will always have the courage of a mouse."
It takes courage to go ahead with the project proposed to us.
But, remember: courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to move forward despite the fear.

Faith against bad thoughts

They appear out of the blue, like flies looking for a place to land.
Good thoughts refresh the soul and make the face cheerful.
Bad thoughts, on the other hand, create doubt, fear, anxiety and worry. They only encourage bad attitudes. They enter the mind only to cause disturbance.
There is no way to stop them from coming, but there is a way to expel them, preventing them from settling into your mind.
How?
Very softly, yet with an audible voice, thank God for His presence in your life; praise the presence of the Holy Spirit; say the name of the Lord Jesus. In other words, speak words that will neutralize the bad thoughts.
Try it!
I'm sure they will disappear.
Moreover, being tempted is not a sin. But giving in to temptation is.
Always be alert and vigilant to react accordingly by the power of faith that is in you.
When they arise, get rid of them by praising God. The truth is that when we speak or pronounce heavenly words, these hellish thoughts leave us.
Remember: when we speak the Word, we direct our thoughts.
When we praise the Lord, we strengthen our thoughts and take the focus off the bad thoughts.
You can call it resisting the devil.
"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4.7

The cry of the dead

Our bad choices result in bad results. For this reason, each one of us must learn to think before making decisions, especially when it comes to eternity.
Of course we should deal with and take care of our needs in this world, but we must learn to prioritize our spiritual life, and the secret is: "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness..." Matthew 6.33 This should be the foundation of our lives.
Even though we have problems and go through difficult moments, as hard as they might be, the most important thing is to pay attention to our spiritual life, and not to circumstantial problems.
There is no point in being perfect on the outside, when there is depression, loneliness, fear and resentment on the inside. In this case, nothing and no one will be able to help us. It is useless trying to fill that inner emptiness with things of this world, because it is not going to produce what they need.
Jesus tells us of one particular event that serves as a reference for the future of our soul. The Scripture says:
“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.” Luke 16.19-22
When a person dies having been righteous during his entire life, that is, having lived according to the standards of God—not because he followed a religion, but because he obeyed the Word of God (note that not everyone who attends a church obeys the Word of God)—no matter the social class or the position he occupied in society, if he walked in righteousness, when he dies, the angels immediately come to take his soul to the Kingdom of Justice. This is an unimaginable treasure, worth more than all the gold of this world, because it is a certainty that accompanies the person until his death.
"And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom." Luke 16.23
When a person lives in sin, when he steals, keeps grudges, hatred, bitterness, that is, everything that is not good, when he dies, the angels will not come to rescue his soul, because he died in injustice. God takes the just to a special place, but those who refused to surrender to Jesus will be taken straight to the grave. We know that a person who dies without Jesus is taken down to hell; that is the place of the unjust.
Those who want to save their souls must stay away from injustice, because that is not appropriate for those who want eternal salvation. The souls of those who are in hell are crying out because they are in torment.
Those who were born of God do not fear death; on the contrary, they even mock it because it no longer has power over their lives. But when there’s no assurance, they live and die in torment. The more time passes, the more they fear death.
God allowed the rich man in hell to see Abraham, who was an example of faith, the friend of God, to show the difference between those who live in justice and those who do not.
“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’” Luke 16.24
Torment is infinitely worse than physical pain; the latter can be relieved with medication, but nothing can ease torment.
He was in hell not because he was rich, but because he relied solely on his wealth, as many rely on their own strength.
What have you put your trust in: religion, family, wealth, people?
“But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.” Luke 16.25
It might seem that all rich people will go to hell and the poor will go to heaven, but it is not so. Both the poor and the rich can go to hell; it all depends only on the person. They are the ones who decide to live a life of justice or injustice.
When a person dies, he or she will go a place they like. If they live a life of injustice while on earth, then hell will claim their souls when they die.
“And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.” Luke 16.26
Once dead, a person cannot move from hell to heaven.
"Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead." Luke 16.27-31
In fact, those who died and are in hell right now are crying out desperately so that those who are still alive may not go to the same place. They are desperate to avoid that their loved ones are also cast into hell and have to go through the same torment.
Every day we work hard to save your soul, but we are not responsible for the life you lead or the decisions you make.
Our prayers cannot help those who died, because each one of us decides where we are going to spend eternity whilst we are still alive. This is common sense, intelligence!

Scars… the pearls of life

Pearls are found in oysters, and their formation is a natural process that occurs in living, shelled mollusks.  In fact, this process is an oyster’s method of protecting itself against foreign bodies, of keeping itself healthy.
Pearls have long been used in jewelry because of their attractive appearance, and can be formed in both fresh and seawater. Pearl oysters and freshwater mussels make up the majority of pearls that are sold. The inside of the shell is coated with a substance called nacre, which creates a pearl.
Pearls are byproducts of irritants, when a parasite or grain of sand enters the shell. In response the oyster secretes layers of nacre that coat this threat and cancel out any harmful effects. As a result, a beautiful pearl is formed. Oysters that face no potential injury do not produce pearls, because a pearl is essentially a healed wound.
Pearls come in a variety of colors: white, black, grey, red, blue and green. Most can be found anywhere in the world, but black pearls are native to the South Pacific. They are the rarest of all pearls – they are one in ten thousand.
The world is full of scars. I am not referring to visible scars, but to those that are invisible. People are marked by them throughout the course of their lives, and frequently cause even more through their words and actions.
Jesus’ body was beaten and wounded, no spot on His body was left unharmed: hands, feet, head… But those scars are marks of His love for us, and we should not open the wounds that the Lord Jesus has already closed. Let us be the pearls of life.

The final destination

I wonder how many have left this world with no hope. Some report feeling the terror of hell on the verge of death. Still, they refused to humble themselves before the One who could save them: Jesus.
Some who never worried about the final destination of their souls experienced the despair of falling off a bottomless cliff at that fatal moment.
This does not happen to the righteous. They may feel physical pain, but they never lose the assurance of where their souls are headed. As so they experience the paradox of actually rejoicing in spirit when the time comes for them to enter into joy of their Lord.
Meanwhile, the unbelieving think or ask, "Where is your God? Why doesn’t He save you from death?"
The answer comes from above, through the prophet:
"The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart; merciful men are taken away while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil. He shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness." Isaiah 57.1-2
