Men of God are not called to be problems or to make problems. Men of God are called and anointed to be the solution of people’s problems.
In chapter 61.1-3 of Isaiah, we find the mission of the man of God:
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them (a crown of) beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
In the three verses above, there are seven verbs (seven is God’s number of perfection), and verbs signify action.
A man of God has the task of implementing the seven verbs announced in this sacred text.
God's part in this mission is to anoint and send: "because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted."
The man of God’s part is to carry out the seven verbs, namely:
1 - Preach: This is to announce a solution to those who are suffering, and the solution is the Lord Jesus (John 10.10);
2 - Heal: This is to cure, care for and treat. With these first two verbs, God sends the man of God to the brokenhearted because only they are the good soil (Matthew 13.8);
3 - Proclaim liberty (announce): This is to announce to captives that they can and should be freed from their captivity. Their captivity is the sin and suffering that are the results of iniquity;
4 - Opening of the prison (release): This is literally to free those who are bound by the devil and his fallen angels. They are bound by addictions, incurable illnesses, broken marriages, etc.;
5 - Proclaim: This is to preach the acceptable year of the LORD and announce that Judgement Day is near, and that Heaven and hell exist. Unfortunately, there are pastors who do NOT preach about salvation, but the man of God will never shy away from doing so;
6 - Console: Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted," Matthew 5.4. To console is to help. Jesus is the other Comforter (Helper), according to John 14.16;
7 - A crown of beauty (to crown): Crowning is the pinnacle of success. When a person accomplishes great things people say that he has been crowned with success.
Those who have been crowned by these actions (verbs) of men of God, have Fullness of Life and Life in Abundance, and so they will be called trees of righteousness, planted by the LORD, for His glory. They will never leave the Church or the presence of God because they have been born of God.
"He replied, Every plant that My heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted," Matthew 15.13.
God bless you and Mrs Ester more and more.
