What have I to do with You?
"When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him and with a loud voice said, ‘What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me’!" Luke 8.28
By examining this passage, we can see how we should behave in this world, which, by the way, "lies under the sway of the wicked one”. From the moment we give our lives to the Lord Jesus and are born of His Spirit, we can no longer have any kind of direct or indirect link with the devil.
Notice that Satan acknowledged that Jesus is the Son of the Almighty God, and that there is no agreement or communion between them.
In this passage, we can see the wicked recognizing the Holy; the unclean recognizing the pure; darkness recognizing the light.
We must also be recognized like this by the devil. Once we are born of the Holy Spirit, we can no longer have part with Satan. For this reason, our testimony has to be seen by hell, because our Lord said:
"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5.14-16
As assistants, when the devil appears before each one of us, he prostrates himself, calling us sons of the Most High God, yelling, "What have I to do with you?" or has he done like he did with the sons of Sceva :
"And the evil spirit answered and said, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?’ Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” Acts 19.15-16
If he is acting like he did with the sons of Sceva, it's because you are lacking Holiness, Anointing, Fear, prayer at the feet of Jesus, fasting and a life committed to the Lord Jesus.
THINK ABOUT IT!
God bless you.
