Having the Spirit of God means having the Same Spirit that the Lord Jesus had.
If someone wants to truly know whether or not he has the Holy Spirit, all he needs to do is look at himself in the mirror of the Gospel, that is, through the life of Jesus and His disciples.
In the New Testament, for example, do you ever see a servant of God
complaining, whining or being a crybaby about their situation, their
personal problems, their love life, family or even their finances, after
receiving the Holy Spirit?
I very much doubt it!
Only deluded people or those deceived by deceiving spirits continually complain about a poor quality life.
Receiving the Holy Spirit does not mean we are exempt from problems.
Jesus warned: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16.33
In other words, even when they were born of the Holy Spirit and filled with Him, Jesus and His true disciples had to face enormous problems… But they overcame them day after day.
I don’t see any of them complaining or grumbling to others about their personal problems.
When we receive the Holy Spirit we are able to overcome the world even when our lives are not a bed of roses.
Whoever is sealed with the Spirit of God has strength, power, and the spiritual energy to resist temptation, endure the problems of life and remain true until death.
The Spirit of God does not come to give us the gift of tongues, but to equip us to confront
hell, the world, the enemies of faith, false brethren, hypocrites,
injustice, persecution and everything else without moaning, whining,
complaining or being a crybaby… In addition to all this, we stay firm until death.
