The tithe and the tither

Tithes and offerings were not simply money or the fruit of the land. They were a reflection of the spiritual character of the tither and giver.  They stood for, and continue to stand for, honor, respect and, above all, submission to the supreme rule of the Lord of Hosts. An unbelievers’ disregard for this is understandable, given his ignorance. But this was not at all acceptable from people who had gone through extraordinary experiences with God and His power.
Israel went from slaves to a powerful nation, because of the intervention of the God of their fathers. And now they would rob Him of His Lordly position and install themselves in His place?
When Israel stopped honoring the Lord with their tithes and offerings, it meant that they were trying to illegally seize God’s Authority and make themselves lords and gods.
In the Garden of Eden, God’s Authority was represented by the tree. Today, this same authority is represented by people’s tithes.
When a person uses the tithe on himself, consciously or unconsciously, he is taking the place of God in his own life, and will never find happiness in this world.
Even worse, he draws a curse upon himself.
God never canceled the law of tithing. It was established at the creation of man.
The Lord made man in His image and likeness;
Gave him dominion over all the animals on earth, in the skies and in the seas;
Gave him authority over all the earth;
Gave him the right to multiply. At that time there were only two, today there are seven billion…
Not even angels, archangels, cherubim or seraphim have this right… much less the devil and his demons. Humans were the only living entity to receive the gift of bringing into existence intelligent beings like themselves.
What did humanity lack when it came to equality with God?
He was made a little lower than God, and, the Lord crowned him with glory and honor. Psalms 8.5
Was this too little?
In order to establish boundaries for man and induce him to acknowledge the LORD AS THE ONE AND ONLY CREATOR AND GOD, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was placed in the middle of the Garden of Eden. It was the symbol of the Most High’s supreme authority that could not be violated.
This tree was the tithe.
Adam and Eve had complete freedom over all trees, except one.
The same holds true in this day and age. Humans have complete freedom over all the earth, and yet deep within, when it comes to their free will, they are free to obey or disobey, to honor or to dishonor, to submit to the Creator or to rebel.
Adam and Eve settled for disobedience, crossed the boundaries established for them and craved to BE EQUAL WITH GOD. In so doing, they brought a curse upon themselves, which then extended to all humanity.
Lucifer was transformed into Satan for the exact same reasons. He insisted on the right to be equal with God. Read Isaiah 14.13,14
But for humanity to restore fellowship with God, the one Entry Way is to accept Him as Lord and Creator of all things.
This cannot be a theoretical recognition! What use is it to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, when in real life you don’t bother to obey His Word?
In order to return to Him, you must first be a faithful tither. If not, you will be kept at a distance from Him, which effectively means, you will be cursed.
Meditate on and verify these things in the passage below:
“Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you”, says the Lord of Hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’
“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.” Malachi 3.7-9
And so, those who are unfaithful in their tithe reject the lordship of Jesus Christ, and rob him of His rightful place by making themselves their own master.
This is why the Lord considered the nation of Israel cursed, when He said:
“You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.” Malachi 3.9

Day 17 of the Fast of Daniel

DAY SEVENTEEN OF DANIEL'S FAST FOR THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Day 16 of the Fast of Daniel

DAY SIXTEEN OF DANIEL'S FAST FOR THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The greatest high – Testimony of Damien Jackson

In an attempt to put an end to the miserable drama that drugs force upon Brazilian families, Dose Mais Forte, a group that helps drug users through spiritual deliverance, held two major events on Saturday the 25th, in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. More than 25 thousand people attended in the two cities.
One of the speakers that drew a lot of attention was M., a 19 year old girl. She had recently gone through a ceremony to become a witch, used drugs, was in a relationship with another woman and is currently imprisoned for a serious felony. After being prayed for and freed from evil spirits, she decided to surrender her life to Jesus and took off the "guide" (amulet) from around her neck, thus breaking her pact with the occult.
Thousands of other young adults did the same upon hearing the testimony of Pastor Damien Jackson, and watching a video demonstrating the tragic end of many drug users. They chose to change their lives and embrace faith in the Lord Jesus.
Parents that attended along with their children also left feeling grateful, certain that from that day on everything would be different in their lives.

Day 15 of the Fast of Daniel

DAY FIFTEEN OF DANIEL'S FAST FOR THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Confessions of the weak

It’s useless for the weak to repeat like a parrot, "Let the weak say, ‘I am strong,’" Joel 3:10, when he is not yet born of God.
The weak will only be strong when he is given birth by the Strong, the Almighty.
As long as this continues, he can confess whatever he wants and nothing will happen.

Jesus said to the Jewish ruler, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3.3
And He added: "unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot ENTER the kingdom of God." John 3.5
What good was Nicodemus’ profound knowledge of the Law and the Prophets when he lacked the new birth?
Knowledge of the Word of God without practice is not enough. But to practice it, he needed to be born of the Spirit.
God "has enabled us to be ministers of a New Covenant, not of letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Corinthians 3.6
That being the case, enough of repetitive Bible verses that are not lived or practiced and which are devoid of Spirit.
The repetition of Bible verses only serves as a crutch to religiosity
When we are not born of water and the Holy Spirit, our faith does not even have the slightest chance of survival in this world; and if we do not overcome the sin of the world, how will our souls be saved?
"...for whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—ourfaith..." I John 5.4
If you consider this radical, see for yourself the vast amount of unbelieving and troubled believers all around you.
They are the fruit of "pastors" who are born of the flesh, who are more concerned with numbers of people and offering than with the salvation of people’s souls. As a consequence, these "pastors" preach that people are saved by merely accepting Jesus as Savior.
Accepting or believing in Jesus makes no difference when you do not obey the Word of Jesus.
But how can we obey the Word when we are not spirit?
How can we be spirit without first being born of the Holy Spirit?
Jesus said: "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 3.6
He added: "Do not be surprised, Nicodemus, if I tell you that you must be born again." John 3.7

Sometimes you won’t get what you want by strength: being stubborn, imposing on others your will, demanding respect from people, making a scene when they don’t do what you want…
There are moments, yes, when the use of strength and authority, for those who have it, is the only option. But before getting to this point, there’s always diplomacy, a request with a smile, patience, self control, a servant’s spirit towards others before wanting to be served, gentleness, and many other influential weapons. The one who taught this (the teacher) was the One and Only Lord Jesus, who until today conquers millions, leading them to surrender their lives to Him, without ever having to shed someone’s blood – only His own.
Many times the strong appear weak — but only they know who they really are, and why they do what they do.
If you’ve tried to do something by force and haven’t succeeded, try the alternative.
