Pride goes before destruction...
At the very root of all the other sins people commit is pride.
- It doesn't let people see their own mistakes
- It makes them resistant to change
- It makes them stubborn
- It gives them an inflated view of themselves
- It destroys relationships
- It makes people think they're better than others
- It leads them to think they know everything, "Who is so-and-so to teach me anything?"
- It drives them to loneliness
- It results in their ultimate fall
- It leads them to the its source: Lucifer.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11.29
Pride may be leading you to your destruction and fall right now. Wake up.
